Dr. Blancato has been well recognized for her interviewing, and treatment of children in numerous challenging settings. She has provided clinical and contract work for the Vancouver Police Department, Squamish Nation, Vancouver School Board, Canuck Place, Cameray Childrens Centre as well as with various other agencies. Her extensive background sets her apart as a skilled clinician, able to clearly understand and provide treatment in the role of child specialist. As a child specialist, she is able to understand and represent the unique voice and needs of each child, interfacing within various systems as required. She is the recipient of the 2012 Queen Elizabeth Diamond Jubilee Medal in recognition of her work with children and contributions to the Community. She maintains a private practice in Vancouver working with families, including both adults and children. She is focussed on utilizing a specialized team working with children who resist or refuse parenting time.
