GENERAL COMMENTS

I have been practicing family law in Vancouver for more than 20 years; first as a litigator arguing cases in the BC Supreme Court and BC Court of Appeal, and in the last 12 years focusing on out of court settlements, including mediation and Collaborative Divorce.

I feel passionate about helping families through the difficult life transition of separation in the least damaging way possible, which I believe is through the formal Collaborative Divorce process. No other process provides an interdisciplinary approach, recognizing that clients frequently require emotional support, communication counseling, child development expertise, and financial guidance, in addition to legal advice

I also assist clients with the negotiation and drafting of pre-nuptial and cohabitation agreements, which can also be done through a formal Collaborative process.

I am a member of the board of directors of the BC Collaborative Roster Society and am committed to promoting Collaborative Divorce law in BC.
